“Music Cafe” and “Classically Inclined”
Following a life-long connection to music, from playing the piano and mandolin to studying and singing a wide variety of styles, Lynn couldn’t resist the opportunity to get involved in FM107.5.
Some years ago, Lynn presented Time Travelling and Classically Inclined, (after Peter Carter, a long-serving presenter and committee member had ceased his own classical music programme) plus serving as an Ordinary Committee Member.
Following a break, around 2012 Lynn was encouraged to resume her involvement and the Music Cafe resulted, plus acting as Secretary on the Committee. Since then Classically Inclined was re-introduced to fill a vacant niche for classical music on FM107.5. Lynn is also our current Secretary.
On the Music Cafe you’ll hear tracks from contemporary artists around the world, with a hefty emphasis on New Australians performing music from their country of origin and their heritage. Genres covered on Music Cafe range from folk, reggae, blues, rock, light jazz, pop to gospel and music from our neighbouring islanders.
Classically Inclined airs classical music from medieval times to today and from Australian performers to artists from around the world. This is the opportunity to indulge yourself and listen to the best of old, and new, favourite artists and music and to discover the unusual.
Here’s a video by Lynn Edwards where she tells us about presenting a program,
the piles of paper she manages as our Secretary, etc etc. Credit and thanks
