“Midday Variety Lunch”
Matt started broadcasting his show in November 2011 with a great mix of popular music to entertain Sunday listeners. Matt’s favourites are Credence, Adam Harvey, Alan Jackson and most of the 1960’s era.
Matt’s motto is, “You want it, we got it. You say it, we play it!”
“Way back” in 1999, Matt broadcast a “Breakfast Show” at Macarthur Community Radio. Matt was trained on a Voice-over course with Grant Goldman and has studied at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School in Sydney and broadcast on Sydney commercial radio stations. He works full-time at the OPTUS Business Centre and is the PR speaker for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT in the Central West.
Matt loves sport, especially Rugby League and his beloved Broncos so news and comment on rugby and that team are regularly inserted into his weekly programme, Somehow Matt finds time and the enthusiasm to practice his ten-pin bowling skills each week and is delighted to have represented NSW in its prestigious Blind Ten Pin Bowling competition.
In 2013-2014, Matt was the President of FM107.5, then Vic-President, and was elected again as President in October 2017. He has also held positions on various subcommittees and is currently responsible for seeking out vital sponsorship for the station.
Legally blind, Matt reckons he couldn’t get by without Cody, his programme director (who he refers to as ‘his brains trust’), Ann-Maree (who manages the automated tasks and anything else that Matt needs chasing, and his indispensable guide-dog and best mate, Bronco.
Matt tells us about his experience as an FM107.5 presenter and about what you can hear on The Local Station.
