Here’s a few words by Phil telling us about himself and his programmes:
‘I made my first on-air broadcast on Norfolk Island way back in 1966! Since then, and while following my vocation as an Anglican Priest, I’ve been involved either part-time, or full-time, in six other radio stations. I’ve been a presenter, producer and an interviewer, plus being involved at one time in Community Radio management in South Australia.
I came to FM107.5 in 2014 and currently present two regular programmes, together with occasional fill-in shifts.
Thalamus, (it’s a no-brainer) is heard every Thursday from 9am-noon. It’s a programme aimed at an older audience where I like to delve into music popular decades ago, but largely forgotten now, sprinkled with country music and snippets on topics of local interest.
The fortnightly show, Starshine, is heard on alternate Tuesdays at noon and showcases new Australian releases of all genres, from new to established artists and focuses on local talent, whenever possible.’
